Newbie Cell Phone Users#

They're über popular. Lots of people have them. But everybody goes through a form of honeymoon phase with a cell phone. Although they give you a nice thick manual to tell you how to perform any random function on your phone, they don't hand you any sort social rulebook for this newly acquired telephony device.

So Long Tori#

I noticed that Aaron Spelling died yesterday. I can't help but feel sorry for those he left behind, since more often than not, death doesn't come at the most convenient time. I was amazed to read about his career, and everything that he had done. If there is any good news that comes with this though, it hopefully means that we don't have to see his poorly acting, fugly daughter on TV anymore. Here's to you Aaron, for bringing happiness to others, even when you're dead.

Teammanship and Sportsmanship#

It comes in different flavors. Lately I've been reminded of some sports that really seem to have a great team ethic, or display some great sportsmanship. To me these things can be opposites in a way. Sportsmanship is essentially rising above the sport – remembering that there is more to life than sports. Teammanship (if it's even a word, since Webster's doesn't say so) seems to be keeping your team the most important thing in the game, but sometimes it is also to raise that team's importance to a level above the game.

Welcome Back, Self#

I seem to have forgotten why I created this place. I wanted something informal. I wanted a place to speak/type my thoughts even if it wasn't anything profound. PabloNoEsta.com turned in to something too formal for me, so I resorted to this happy place. So, in attempts to not forget my reasons for making it, I'm going to be doing more entries. They may be shorter, not as earth-breaking, and on a wider variety of topics… but this is my blog. Welcome back, self.

Longbored Compliant#

It may not mean much to very many people (especially considering the number of people who actually read this blog), but I have some good news - this website is now fully XHTML compliant. Please, no need for gifts. I'll just put another notch in my walking staff, and consider this something else to be pleased with. Now all I need to do is redesign this place, instead of resorting to my usual template thievery.

Carl's Jr. Has it All Wrong#

Let's think about this slogan - "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." I know that I was taught very well, and I don't always perform up to my ability when it comes to manners. With that in mind however, I know I don't have the worst table manners either. If something actually does get all over the place, then I must not be doing a very good job at getting it in my face.

Lo#

At first she just shook her head at us. We thought for a while that she just liked how her hair felt against her face as she waved it back and forth. Later, we realized that she was actually saying (or motioning) that most-dreaded word from all - no.

Project Teams#

Have you ever been included on a project then never really felt like you were actually on the project? Sometimes there are meetings that are happening that you feel like you should be part of, but for some reason you're not invited. Sometimes you overhear or witness conversations and think to yourself, "Should I be listening to that, or even taking part?" There are of course the other kind of projects that aren't official, yet you still feel like you should be part of, but you're not.
