ABC's and Sleeping through the Night

We had two fairly significant things happen for both of the girls within the past couple weeks. They're both important for different reasons, but I feel like I should share.

Two weeks ago we were driving back from an absolutely wonderful vacation and Cecilia was singing in the back seat. One of her favorite things to sing is the alphabet, but this time was different Instead of struggling through the “L-M-N-O-P” part, she nailed it dead on. That was two weeks ago tomorrow (so… June 30th. (only making note for posterity)).

Last night, Becky graced us with the best gift that any little girl barely over 2 months could give her parents – she slept through the night. Usually she goes to sleep about 8 or 9, and will have a pretty good stint up until like 2 or 3 AM or something like that then again at like 5 or 6. This time she made it all the way to 6:15 or so… and I can't really ask for much better than that. Pretty slick. Too bad she's been cranky all day. I think I might actually prefer a saintly child during the day and take a wake-up or two in the middle of the night, but I'm not really able to make that sort of decision.
