People, Dot Com, and Becky Laughing
No, that's not our Christmas card for this year (though I did finish it the other day, and they'll go in the mail shortly), this is Cecilia's first drawing of people… that actually look like people. You may notice the fairly unexcited look on that guy's face in the upper left (who has a torso, hands and little circles for feet 2/3 of the way down) and another guy's face near the middle of the card. They're not pretty, but at least they're people. She drew these a few weeks ago, and I've been meaning to blog about it, but kept forgetting. The other day when I mentioned Cecilia's new big girl bed I said I couldn't remember something, and this was it. I couldn't remember that drawing and…
Dot com. I watch SportsCenter daily. I TiVo the 5 AM show, and that'll give a nice summary of the sports world for the day before. I generally can watch the hour-long show in about 10 minutes, thanks to my lack of care for most of the show. One segment that I'm sure to watch every time it's on, is the ESPN Deportes update. It's the latino based segment, so they have more updates on Soccer/Football and stuff like that. They usually wrap up their segment saying that you can get more information on their website “at ESPN Deportes, dot com”. Well, the other day (maybe two weeks ago), she heard the opening line of that little segment where they happened to say “ESPN Deportes” as well, and she said &ldqou;dot com”. It was one of those… “You mean you're actually listening?” moments. Kinda spooky. (she's done it again since).
One last bit here is a video of Becky being amused by Cecilia. Cecilia is playing with tupperware, and Becky thinks it's pretty funny. I got it on video, and put it up on YouTube. If you can't see the video, you can see it here as well. Enjoy

Not sure why we ever buy our children toys when they absolutely love Tupperware, toilet paper rolls, and cardboard boxes!
Such a cute video! Fun to see Becky's personality really coming out!
PS - thanks so much for the Google reader tip! Lovin' it!
