That's How I Roll
Cecilia wanted to use some of the money from her piggy bank to purchase herself some snow boots. I'm happy to let her “spend” her money, but the money will be mysteriously replaced in her bank. In the spirit of finding the path of least resistance on something so trivial, Maria was helping her get some money out of her piggy bank to use. It's not uncommon for me to empty the change from my pockets into her bank, or slip in a bill every now and then. Maria asked Cecilia why she had so much money in there, to which the well-trained 3 year old said, “Because that's how I roll, Mom.” I sure wish her mother would stop teaching her to say stuff like that.
i'm SO SURE it was mary who taught cecilia that phrase! so cute. good story, thank you for sharing it.
What do you suppose that means to a 3 year old? I don't know if i could put such a statement in context... However, the bigger question is... did she get her boots!?!?
She sounds like the coolest 3 yr old around!
Your next goal should be to hear her say, "Mom, our car is all pimped out." I'm sure it would bring a tear to your eye, Pedro.
Love the Blog! Found you through Catherine and Steve. The pics of the girls are darling. Love the Daly's
Nancy/Mom: Of course she got some boots. They're nasty lookin' things with blue camouflage on them… but they get the job done. We also got her some galoshes, but we're not expecting rain for another couple months.
Clifton: “Pimped out?†I think you've got something there. Item: added to to-do list.
