Yeah, the lyrics are just that unique… not.  [Via]

Make Something Cool Every Day 2009#

Obviously I'm late to this, since Mark Weaver seems to have been Making Something Cool Every Day for all of 2009… and here it is 298 days into the year. How inspiring! For those of us who might want to try this, it might be good to try it for a week, or a month before committing to it for a whole year. Maybe an alternate to NaBloPoMo or the upcoming NaNoWriMo. Be sure to check out his site and portfolio. Very cool.

Inside The Tube: Incredible Wave Photography#

Gorgeous wave photography. I know the name of my site is a play on a words, but I still find incredible beauty in the sea/surf/ocean.  [Via]

Calvin and Hobbes, October 11, 2009#

With Fall upon us and Winter just around the corner, I'm always saddened to have the weather get uncomfortably cool. Every year it feels like warm weather doesn't last long enough.

Dirty Pilot: Working 9-9#

It sure sucks to work 9-9, and I understand how it feels - much how this print would lead you to believe. I like the feel of the dark comic book lines combined with the messy spray-paint. As an added bonus, I like to see the behind-the-scenes of how some of the steps were accomplished.  [Via]

Morning Summary#

What an ominous-looking scene - from the Official White House Photo Stream on Flickr.

“Discover the right Web Designer for your next project.” An interesting idea for a site/service (unsurprising considering the source (37 Signals)). Although I don't need a web designer, I understand when people are looking for one that isn't me, or is close by. I think they need more pricing levels (either free, or $99/month? Lame.), but hopefully it helps people get recognized and get more business.

Maelstrom 3.0#

What a fabulous (albeit random) find! Pay no attention to the horrendous website design, or the obviously old-school game… just trust me that it's a real winner; a super-simple Asteriod-esque game. Download it, play it, love it. Don't tell my father about it, however, since I want to be the one to make him wet his pants in excitement. He misses this game, and honestly so did I. I sure with Ambrosia would bring back some of their other games.

Audio Analysis of the Beatles Multitrack Masters - Waxy.org#

For the audiophile and Beatles fan in you, Andy Baio found some analysis of the original multi-track master recordings. Very interesting to hear the various pieces. I'd love to hear more of this. If anything, download the track for Come Together, because you know you know that song.

Moxie Sozo | EatPastry#

I love this cookie dough packaging design. It has a great layout and a clean design (despite the amount of content that seems to be on there). Very slick.  [Via]
