It's debatable. To say that something is the best or worst or to make those kind of comments that seem to block out other possibilities – I find it annoying. It feels like it's been happening more and more recently.
Read more...You may remember that I'm a fan of the San Antonio Spurs (and Manu, but he's not in this story, really). Recently there was a bit of controversy involved with a player on that team fouling another player in an excessively hard way. Immediately after the foul, 2 players from the opposing team left the bench (which is against the rules) in support of their teammate. Very shortly afterwards, they came to their senses and returned to the bench area, without having involved themselves at all in the game or with other players. Despite the innocence of the move by those two players (since they didn't actually do anything), they were suspended for 1 game each, as is dictated by the rule. The original player on the Spurs was suspended 2 games.

If you lightly scratch a finger nail on the bottom of a wooden table, you'll (roughly) hear the same sound we heard Monday night. Although Maria first noticed the sound, she didn't know what it was. Immediately after hearing it, I knew it was some kind of a rodent. I've dealt with rodents before. I lived in a house at one point where in a little over a month we killed 23 mice (that story would take its own blog entry). The difference between the rodents then and now is that my family was involved… and that's just not cool. You remember how I Shot the Sheriff? Well… my little rodent friend could only wish his death came as quickly.
A little over 2 years ago I talked about The Soundtrack of Your Life. It was an activity with which I was thoroughly pleased originally and have been reminded of its coolness. I've been listening to a lot of my previous mixes I've made lately, and among them was my own personal soundtrack. The super strict side of me would say that you shouldn't know the song list unless you yourself have done the actual challenge, but I still feel like posting it. Also, at the end of the post, I tell you how I'll buy you an album from the iTunes Store… tantalizing… I know.
Read more...I don't understand picky eaters. That's probably because I'm not one. I've seen a number of different styles of picky eaters. They all have their reasons for choosing to eat or not eat something, and I have chosen to make observations about these things (as you may have noticed by a blog full of these observations).
