2010.12.27 Make Magazine: Super Mario Bros Level Cake
There aren't many details about the cake (see: none), but it looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of fondant, and the cake looks too cool to eat anyway. #

Upload an image to be on the back of the cards in the deck. Might be nice to commemorate a small event where they're guaranteed to be used... like the one I have coming up in just a couple months. #
Good. Gravy. Combine two of my favorite characters? Sweeeeet. #
I enjoy the game, though I hardly ever play it because it tends to put people in a bad mood. In this circular design for their 75th anniversary, I think the larger (former corner) spaces on the board will help certain sides or stretches of the board to be easily recognized. Not sure how I feel about the digital banker. #
What a fabulous (albeit random) find! Pay no attention to the horrendous website design, or the obviously old-school game… just trust me that it's a real winner; a super-simple Asteriod-esque game. Download it, play it, love it. Don't tell my father about it, however, since I want to be the one to make him wet his pants in excitement. He misses this game, and honestly so did I. I sure with Ambrosia would bring back some of their other games. #
While we're on the topic of Braid, be sure to check out the full set of graphics released by the game's artist himself, all available for your downloading pleasure. Very cool. #
Yesterday I tried out the demo for this side-scrolling game, and couldn't get enough. Honestly, it was one of the first things I thought of when I woke up this morning. I finished the demo, and knew I needed to buy it. Available for Mac/Windows... give the demo a shot. #
If you remember Contra like I do, or have heard a reference to the magical code… now certain sites on the interwebs give you a bit more too. #
Screenshots of retro games coupled with poignant statements as art. Classic, if for nothing else but the nintendo screenshots. #
Nothing like Bloxorz, but still fun for at least 10 minutes. #
