I read this article about a month ago, and I haven't been able to get this piece out of my mind:
Entertaining their parents, for the King children, was part job, part enrichment. At bedtime, they were the ones expected to tell their parents stories, instead of the other way around.
Ever since then, I've put this into practice, recording the results. If I'm really cool, one day I'll do something with them. The results so far have been pretty fun and varied. Maybe you should give it a try. #
Probably better that they're called "Double Stuf" and not "1.86 x Stuf", but this is a total rip-off. Personally, I prefer to eat the "Double" and drink milk with it, whereas I prefer to dunk the normal Oreos in milk. I probably care too much about Oreos. Proof: the other day someone commented how much they hated normal Oreos, and only liked the golden kind. Un-following somebody mid-in-person-conversation isn't possible. #
I'm not sure why I don't own one of these. It plays two of my favorite systems. Really, I'd love for it to have the N64 instead of the Sega piece, but still. $60, and I'm on my way to retro gaming happiness. #
I wish I would have thought of this one while I was making my own rather useless flyers. Add this to the Lionel Richie flyer, and you're set. #
If this were a real t-shirt, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'm looking forward to this invention in a couple years. Just watch out for Biff on his Pitbull hoverboard "with power" and his massive bat. #
I love these animations of the various chicken dances of the Bluth family. The dances are one of my favorite things to mention about the show, and Beau has done a perfect job on them. #
Looks like a really entertaining game (be sure to watch the video in full screen), with my main draw being the puzzle aspect of rewiring the systems/lights/whatever to complete the task. I can do without the punching/shooting, but whatever. $9 on Steam, with a free trial available - PC-only for now. #
I admit I'm an absolute sucker for Field Notes. I love the feel of them, and especially love the quarterly editions they come out with. This one is, unsurprisingly, right up my alley as well. I love the black, the constellations, the "reticle graph" pattern inside, and the seal of the perfect staples. I've already ordered one three-pack, but if you wanted to buy me more, that wouldn't hurt my feelings. Hurry up, though, since they'll go fast. #

FEZ
I know FEZ II just got announced today, but I'm still stuck on the original, because I've never played it. "...You play as Gomez, a 2D creature living in what he believes is a 2D world. Until a strange and powerful artifact reveals to him the existence of a mysterious third dimension." I've had a tab in my browser open to the trailer for this for weeks, and I re-watch it every day, trying to wrap my mind around this. Thankfully, they also released this game for PC and not just XBox, and it's just $10. Now to find a PC I can play this on (and to convince my wife I can buy it...) #
68 thousand tweets were analyzed to find the distinction between the words of "geek" and "nerd". I tend to use the words interchangeably, but can clearly recognize the distinction. Be sure to see the hashtag analysis. It seems my interests are on the geeky side, but have several on the nerd side as well. #
