I've been on the lookout for a typeface that has a certain feel to it. This particular example is nice and open, playful, and communicates a slight disregard for uniformity. This just might be perfect, and the price tag doesn't hurt my feelings one bit. #
An interesting visual representation and analysis on the development of Crayola's color line. I wonder how close the colors fit the actual colors created by Crayola - perfect or not, it's interesting. #
“The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life.” Great advice. (or watch it on Vimeo) #
Where have I been? I've never heard of this guy, or this book, or his Acme Novelty Library series either. Sign me up for a copy of this. (This was brought to my attention, because of it being translated to Chinese - which is useless to me, but still) #
I generally enjoy McSweeney's. I especially like “Okay, someone's in the kitchen with Dinah. What is this, a guessing game? And no one's going to be ‘strumming on the ol' banjo’ in my house. I'm not stupid.” and “No, you can't put a person in a pumpkin shell. Really, I'm starting to worry about you.” #
A nice new addition to one of my favorite lines of LEGO's (the modular sets) to replace the now-discontinued Café Corner - a set essentially void of any interior elements (although rich in exterior design). Following in the style of 10197 Fire Brigade, this one seems to be plentiful in its interior design (although mildly plain in the exterior coloring). Overall it looks like a nice set. Add it to my list. #
A perfect prescription for many children. #
A useless link for the vast majority of people who might read this, but a page I found fairly helpful in a recent endeavor of mine. #
It certainly makes the movie different if this were the case. Either this, or take the version represented on this t-shirt. Both pretty comical. #
A highlight article about an upcoming book that dissects marketing built into menus. I'd love to read something like this, but more in line with web design, and marketing products or services there. Fascinating, nonetheless. Apparently I need to arrange stuff better. #
