2009.05.02 LEGO: 9f Train - Flickr

I'm obviously late to the show on this one, but with my recent acquisition of the Emerald Night Lego train, this one really caught my eye. Super slick. #

2009.05.02 DelliStore: A Free Professional CSS/XHTML/PSD-Template

I wish Smashing Magazine had these back in the day when I started to learn about web design/development, since I would have eaten this stuff up. Instead of chopping apart other people's sites to learn how to adjust stuff, this is a cleanly coded site, just waiting for any manipulation to be made. Slick. #

2009.05.02 Coudal Partners' Layer Tennis - Week 11

I've been enjoying this season's Layer Tennis, and somewhat agree with Jason Lynes that this may be one of the best matches I've seen. Although the first couple layers were battle-ish, the remainder gave much more of a feeling of collaboration than competition. Very well done (plus we'll give them credit for using the Futura typeface on the same site that laud's it in their Field Notes products). #

2009.05.01 TidBITS Opinion: Why Snow Leopard Should Be (Almost) Free

I thought this same thing when they announced Snow Leopard. In short, if it's not going to be full of things that users want immediately, yet developers want immediately... then help out your developers and make the update cheap/free for users. #

2009.04.28 Smashing Magazine: The Mystery Of CSS Sprites

I've used these before, and find them to be extremely helpful. Despite the added pain of getting your CSS images to refresh when testing, and the mild complexity of the mapping, I think the all-in-one approach is very slick and handy. #

2009.04.28 Mint: Bird Feeder Pepper

Personally, I love Mint for tracking website stats. Previously I was hooked on Google Analytics, but Mint gives me the info I want and not all the trivial information that doesn't really matter. This little addon (or "pepper") to Mint helps track stats about feeds and clicks on those feeds. Although it's a little tricky to set up, it's already proving its value. #

2009.04.28 Ben Folds Presents: University a Cappella!

I'm not sure if I should laugh at this album (mainly due to the mockery that is made of a cappella groups on The Office), or enjoy it for what it is. Either way, I love Ben Folds. #

2009.04.27 W I N D O S i L L

I was completely unfamiliar with VectorPark, as well as this game. Not only was I captivated by the gameplay, I found the flash work amazing. Very slick. #

2009.04.26 Weirdest Japanese Commercial Ever

I'm not sure it's the weirdest ever, but it's pretty weird, yet funny at the same time. Worth the 60 seconds it takes to watch it. #

2009.04.26 Crank that Soulja Boy - Acoustic

I'm extremely out of touch with current music, since I know I can't really stomach the original version of this song. I'm continually baffled that people are making money off of that kind of crap… and this acoustic version lets us all see how truly pointless the lyrics are. Nice improv towards the end. #
